Wireframe for a local drummer/percussionist's site

This is obviously still early in the project (about 30 minutes in).

Here is a link to the wireframe so far:

I am planning on having this site be responsive (may be tricky with the 3 column layout, but I am thinking of moving the right sidebar content down the the footer and making the site a 2 column layout once it below say...1024 x 768.

I may also have the branding/nav portion of site fixed so it can follow the user as they scroll.

Any and all feedback is welcome.

I will keep this thread updated as this project moves along (visual design state, coding stage).

I am a one man show, so hearing from you guys would be awesome (and keep me from going crazy!!! :D)

Thanks for any input!

  • Hi Ryan,
I'm fairly new to the game but I figured I'd throw an idea at you.

Have you considered perhaps swapping the right column with the nav and then when the width gets below 1024 pushing the nav to the top?

Also i'd stay away from fixed content when you get down to mobile size, theres only so much room on a mobile screen and you'd want to keep it clear.

As I said I'm new to this (and a one man show also) so let me know if i'm way off the mark.

    Hope that helps.

    Nick
  • To be honest, it's a bit hard to visualize how it'd work so I'd rather see a nice responsive prototype.

Beyond that, it's a bit difficult to comment without seeing more things. There's only so much you can get from wire framing. It's why I don't spend too much time doing it.
